About the Speaker:
Dr. Chamberlin is a graduate of the UConn School of Pharmacy and of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP)-Accredited Specialty Residency in Geriatric Pharmacy Practice at VA Connecticut. Dr. Chamberlin is an Associate Clinical Professor for the UConn Schools of Pharmacy and Medicine and runs a clinical practice in Adult Internal Medicine at UConn John Dempsey Hospital / UConn Health, where he is also the PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program Director. He has served numerous clinical and leadership roles at UConn Health, including piloting a pharmacist/APRN pain consult service, consulting with the Geriatrics inpatient and outpatient services, and serving on the institution’s Pain and Palliative Care Interdisciplinary Team. Dr. Chamberlin's scholarly interests align with his clinical interests in pain management, geriatric pharmacotherapy, and interprofessional education with more than 60 book chapters or refereed published manuscripts in the pain or geriatric realm. He has received a number of awards, including the Roche Preceptor of the Year Award for the UConn School of Pharmacy and the David S. Frederick, MD Award for Excellence in Teaching from the UConn Health Internal Medicine Residency Program. He is an active leader and member locally and nationally of both the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) and is a Past President for the state’s ASCP chapter.
